Am I sick? Is this a pathology?

- That is what she asked me on the matter of her moving around the world a lot... and we laughed.

We live in a world where the norms are still pretty traditional. You are born, you go to school, you graduate, you have a job, you get the house, get married, have kids... Great! Nothing wrong with that.

Then we have the people who are not really comfortable with all that. The ones that move around a lot, travel a lot and just can't seem to find a place to stay at for the rest of their lives. What is that all about?

Some people will say that you are running away from things, that you don’t know what you want, you are not responsible nor serious about life. You may come across as lost and fugitive.

But you know what…. That may be the truth for some people and in that case one should take a deeper look introspectively at what makes them want to run away and deal with that.

However, that is not the case for everyone. Some people, like ourselves, find great joy in moving around and being at one place is giving us a feeling of imprisonment.

We are the ones that get bored easily, need new environments, new experiences and challenges. Most importantly it brings great value to our lives, to our souls, our selves and people we love.

So no... it is not a pathology! It is a way of life, a lifestyle, that allow us to live life to the fullest by your own conditions.

"You only are free when you realise you belong no place — you belong every place — no place at all. The price is high. The reward great." - Maya Angelou

If you are feeling this post, and if you are just like us, enjoying to move around the world, from spot to spot, but still find yourself in an anxious state about it, believing maybe it is an issue... please ask your self the following questions:

1) How does my soul feel when I travel or move frequently?

2) When I feel that it might be the wrong choice, is it because of the expectations of others and the risk of disappointing someone such as family, friends etc.?

3) Is there something within me that is chasing me, that is hard to deal with, pushing me to run away in the real world?

Guidelines :

1) If your soul is feeling free, fulfilled, smiling and is excited... then hurry up and pack your bags!

2) If the answer is yes, how important is others validation for you? Can you talk to your family and friends whom you are afraid of disappointing and ask for understanding and support? Most likely that you will get it. You know why? ... then they will have a place to come and visit too ;)

3) If the answer is yes, please take courage for a closer look within. Is it trauma, is it responsibilities that you are afraid of not knowing how to deal with or not even wanting, is it fears of any kind, is it lack of self awareness? In that case take your time, nurture yourself, accept help if necessary. Self Care is important and you deserve to be and feel good and also know your self.

If there is something out there calling for you to see, touch, feel, smell, taste, live... You know what...

Go get it! We got you!

Love, S&W
